Пробовал переставлять не один раз, как cups так и hplip, результата ноль.
Что в нете нашел из советов, тоже все перепробовал, ничего пока не помогает.

Забыл сказать, что Твключении компа, cups не хочет работать, даже не открывает страницу настроек, релаю рестарт cups_а и все начинает работать.

Куда комать, уже несколько суток пробую извращаться с ним.

продолжаю воевать

Сначала пытался поставить МФУ HP M1212 на Mandriva 2010.2, теперь на Rosa 2011 но так и не получилось.

Установил hplip-3.11.12 на Мандрива 2010.2, при установке установился драйвер который hplip заказала сама.
Установка прошла успешно, определился принтер как по сети так и по юсби, но в обоих случаях тестовая страница не распечаталась.
На печать передается, принтер пишет "Идет печать", но печать сама не происходит.

В файле прикрепленном прикладываю лог проверки печати, а так же вывод hp-check и hp-check -c

Что делать и как что проверять?

Там на сайте нашел статью в которой есть инструкция по установке МФУ HP M1212 на Mandriva 2010-2011 / Rosa 2011

Ставьте его в центре управления\оборудование\принтеры\ как HP LaserJet M1005 NF Foomatiq/foo2xqx .

1. удаляешь printer-driver-foo2zjs (он часто глючит с HP)
2. переустанавливаешь (сначала удаляешь) hplip и hplip-data
3. запускаешь hp-setup и выбираешь установить драйвер с интернета, если выскочит ошибка, то ставишь (hp-setup) драйвер поверх, после установки удаляешь (их будет два) последний.
4. выключаешь принтер, перезагружаешь комп, включаешь принтер.
