QuickTime 7.2 crashes
Cause:
This is caused by an incompatibility between QuickTime and some NVIDIA drivers.
Solution:
Open the QuickTime control panel. Go to the Advanced tab. Disable the two DirectDraw options. That solves the crashes for most people. The incompatibility has been fixed in QuickTime 7.3 and newer.
