Solution as follows: 1. Completly install Office 2010 beta, and in doing so ignore Error 1907. 2. After the installation open Excel (there the problem occures again, therefore click cancel ), go to File/ Options/ Add-Ins . At the bottom in the combobox choose Excel-Add-Ins , click Go to ... , deactivate Euro currency tools , click OK , ready. If you don't need the Euro currency tools, that's a simple solution. By the way: The tool has caused trouble already since Office XP; it uses special fonts, that might have been deleted from your system. Note: I have a German version, therefore the English command names might vary a bit.
